Breaking: May 2026 Wallpaper Collection Drops – 15-Year Tradition Continues with Global Artists
May 2026 Wallpapers Now Available for Free Download
A major digital art release has arrived: the May 2026 wallpaper collection is live, marking the 15th consecutive year of this monthly tradition. Artists from around the world have contributed original designs, available in multiple screen resolutions at no cost.

“This May, we’re celebrating longer days and the energy of new beginnings,” said the project coordinator. “These wallpapers are designed to inspire a fresh perspective—right on your desktop.”
Background
Since 2011, the series has invited independent artists to submit desktop backgrounds for each month. The May edition features works by Ricardo Gimenes (Spain) and PopArt Studio (Serbia), among others. All images are offered in both calendar and non-calendar versions, spanning resolutions from 320×480 to 3840×2160.
The project operates on a completely open creative brief. “We give full freedom to explore emotions and experiences—themes are never influenced by us,” a spokesperson explained. “Each artist’s motivation is respected from scratch.”
What This Means
For users, this means access to high-quality, diverse wallpapers that celebrate May’s shift toward summer. For artists, it’s a platform to showcase original work to a global audience. The call for future submissions remains open.
“We can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with,” the team added. “Happy May!”
